Why this exists
Buyers struggle to tell marketing from maturity. The HKISG IT Awards put nominated products and services through a time-boxed white-hat assessment. Results are scored, starred, and published so procurement teams, partners, and the press can cite something inspectable.
What an award page shows
- Organisation, category, and award year
- Numeric score and star band
- Tester attribution and high-level public notes

Scoring bands
- 5 stars (90–100) — exceptional, reference-grade
- 4 stars (80–89) — strong, minor gaps only
- 3 stars (70–79) — solid baseline
- Below 70 — not awarded; private remediation notes only
Integrity rules
- Membership or nomination fee covers assessment cost — it does not buy stars
- Panel testers disclose conflicts and rotate
- Public pages show score, category, year, and tester attribution
- Award recognition is time-bound; re-nomination is required for later cycles
